The United Auto Workers union has lost 13,000 members in the last year alone, according to official government filings the union made.
The UAW fell to 370,000 members at the end of 2023, down from 383,000 in 2022, resulting in the lowest membership in a decade and a half.
Despite its much publicized strike of the Detroit Three automakers and favorable media coverage, the union has been unable to reverse its decades-long decline.
The government filings support that the UAW has responded to the loss in membership by increasing the dues individual members pay.
