The Detroit News reports about 1,000 UAW workers at Dauch Corp. are entering the second week of a strike against the supplier of axles for General Motors.
The company supplies driveline parts for a number of GM vehicles, including pickups and vans from its facility in Three Rivers, Michigan.
Negotiators for the UAW are deadlocked with company representatives over wages, health benefits, and the plant’s vacation policy.
Dauch Corp. is formerly known as American Axle.
