U.S. News and World Report scrutinized 116 new cars, SUVs, pickups, and minivans for 2026 to determine which ones are best for families.
They considered safety and reliability, seating and cargo room, family-friendly features, and reviews from around the industry to find the best vehicle in each of 14 automotive classes.
At the end of the process, Hyundai was at the top of the list, with more models recognized than any other manufacturer.
Five Hyundai models were recognized:
- Tucson
- Tucson Hybrid
- Palisade Hybrid
- IONIQ 5
- IONIQ 9
Hyundai took top honors for Best Midsize SUV, Best Compact EV SUV, and Best Midsize EV SUV for Families.
